What types of clients do you work with?

I work primarily with adults, my specialties being in maternal mental health and workplace burnout. I also work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief.

Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes, I currently only see clients for teletherapy. I provide secure, convenient telehealth therapy so you can attend sessions in the comfort of your home.

What states are you licensed to provide therapy in?

I am licensed to work with clients located in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia.

Do you accept insurance?

I am out of network, but handle billing on your behalf. Many have very manageable out of network deductibles for behavioral health. Once your deductible is met, my clients pay a copay. I work with clients to find a fee structure that is reasonable and sustainable to make mental health accessible.

What can I expect during my first session?

Out first session is going to be an opportunity to get to know one another. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, your background, and what your goals are. We will work together to develop a plan that feels right for you.

What therapy approach do you use?

I take a collaborative, individualized approach to therapy. I draw from evidence based practice such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and tailor treatment to your needs, goals, and personal circumstances.

Can I schedule a consultation before starting therapy?

Yes. I always schedule a brief consultation prior to our first session so we can discuss what you are looking for, answer questions about the practice, and determine if I am a good fit for what you are looking for.

Do you offer self-pay?

Yes. Self pay is available for clients who prefer not to you insurance.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Frequency can vary depending on your goals and availability.

Do you work with pregnant or postpartum clients?

Yes. Supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to motherhood is a very important part of my practice. It can be a very challenging season of life and therapy can provide space to process the emotions, identity shift, and relationships changes that come with this season of life.

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes.

Do you work with parents and caregivers?

Yes. Parenting and caregiving have enormous emotional demands and can be very overwhelming. Whether you are caring for an aging relative, spouse, or child you do need to make sure you are finding space to take care of yourself.

What makes virtual therapy different?

Virtual therapy provides an opportunity to receive support without adding another commute or appointment to your busy day. Whether you’re trying to fit therapy in around your baby’s nap time or in between meetings at work or simply more comfortable at home, virtual therapy is a great option for you.
